Freddy gets growing veg
I have decided to start writing a blog about my experiences of having a plot on a local, council run allotment site. I got the plot in January of this year, but what with the winter lingering have only just recently got started on it. Onion sets have been planted and about a quarter of the plot dug over. The previous tenant left us a nice large compost bin of well rotted manure, so that will come in useful. Spuds are chitting in my greenhouse at home, brassicas are just germinating and tomatoes are 3" high. I tend to start stuff off in cells and peat pots first thing and then sow when the soil warms up a bit.
